Health & Safety

At SGM we firmly recognise our responsibilities under the Health and Safety Act. We have therefore put in place a number of stringent Health & Safety management procedures so that the safest working practices are adopted, protecting both our employees and our customers. All our depots are subject to an annual audit review.

Operator Training

SGM is able to offer a wide range of training from Operator Familiarisation training to City & Guilds and Lantra standards for machinery operators, tailored to suit our customers various requirements. All training is offered in order to assist you in complying with the Health and Safety requirements of our industry.

Additional benefits can be gained from educating machinery operators with the advancement of individual skills, which will lead to increased productivity whilst at the same time bringing savings through lower maintenance and running costs.

Noise & Vibration

Up-to-date statistical information is available to all of our customers on vibration and noise emission levels. Our Business Managers and Supervisors are on hand to assist our customers in identifying possible harmful exposure levels. With the development of low- and anti-vibration machinery and through our Strategic Supplier Relationships (SSRs) we supply a fleet that provides maximum protection for our customers and employees. We are committed to working with our manufacturing partners in the development and progression of machinery to further improve levels of protection.
